Bio

I have always had a love for the performing arts. Well-meaning parents steered me away from a career in acting, but the bug has never seized to bug me. When I turned 50, it was time to get creative again. Over the past few years I have participated in numerous acting courses including a 20-week full-time screen acting course with The Australian Film and Television Academy (TAFTA) and an Advanced Actors Residency at The National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA). I have been involved in a variety of stage and screen productions.

On occasion I shift my focus from ‘out front’ to backstage. I get great satisfaction from utilising my organisational skills to make performances possible and enjoy contributing to the overall success of a production.

In 2018 I wrote my very first film script and was also one of the actors. Flawed has been more successful than we could have hoped for. It was shortlisted in Tropfest 2019, a finalist in the Blue Heeler Film Festival 2019 and came second in the Perfect Light Film Festival 2019.

At the 2021 Perfect Light Film Festival we managed to top our success from 2019. Small Change, a short film about a woman in a corner shop who uplifts her isolated customers, took home first prize. The audience reaction was simply wonderful and the feedback from the judges, especially from veteran Australian actor Tammy MacIntosh, was warm and generous and most encouraging.
